Visitor information – Waterways Alive Festival
Friday 17th – Sunday 19th September 2021
Waterways Alive! is the first showcase festival for members of the Waterways Arts Collective. It is presented in partnership with the Rickmansworth Waterways Trust. We hope this will be the first of many future festivals to be held in Rickmansworth and elsewhere.
Booking and donating
Tickets for the events can be booked online. Note: there is an admin charge to cover the Eventbrite and Credit Card Company fees. We are also encouraging audiences to donate, as much or as little as the wish, to to the performers at the event or online.

Zoom – online participation
Some of our events will be available online via Zoom. We EMAIL an invitation link before each performance. Keep a look out for your invitation. You do not need a Zoom account to participate. If you are new to Zoom we suggest you watch this short video TUTORIAL
Venue location and directions
Batchworth Lock Canal Centre:
Public Transport – The Festival is only a short walk from Rickmansworth town centre which is served by Rickmansworth Station on the London Underground Metropolitan Line and also numerous buses such as the 320, 321 and 724 operated by Arriva, the 336 operated by Carousel Buses and the R21 operated by Red Rose Travel.
Parking is limited: The Aquadrome Car Park is open during the day. It closes in the evening (don’t get locked in) There is also a Tesco not far away on the canal – free parking if you make some purchases.
Some events will be held onboard boats where wheelchair access my be difficult. If you have any concerns please email us and we will do our best to accomodate you for the event.
